Barnet Asian Old People’s Association This association run a day centre for the Asian elderly every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12noon-4pm. They provide information and education, health promotion, English lessons, exercises, singing, religious celebrations and walking group every Friday. Lunch and snacks are provided. |

Inclusive Play Opportunities Project (IPOP) Inclusive Play Opportunities Project, or IPOP as we are widely known, is a registered charity. Our formal charitable objectives are "the relief of disability and the advancement of education of children by the provision of opportunities for play and recreation and by the provision of information and assistance to the parents, families and carers of children with disabilities." IPOP has worked in the London Borough of Barnet providing play support and advice to disabled children and their families since 1994. |

Jewish Care Our 1,100 staff and 2,500 volunteers run over 70 centres and services in London and the south-east. We care for people in the Jewish community who need our help, including the elderly, disabled and those with mental health issues. |

Caring 4 Carers Caring4carers was originally formed in 2000 as Mencare (name changed in 2008) by Jeffrey Breslaw in response to a need from people caring for a family member with mental illness. The organisation was set up to help carers of the severely mentally ill by participating in a course called Supportive Family Training. |

Multiple Sclerosis Society Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological condition affecting young adults. Around 100,000 people in the UK have MS. MS is the result of damage to myelin - a protective sheath surrounding nerve fibres of the central nervous system. When myelin is damaged, this interferes with messages between the brain and other parts of the body. For some people, MS is characterised by periods of relapse and remission while for others it has a progressive pattern. For everyone, it makes life unpredictable. |

Young Autistic Spectrum Socialising (YASS) YASS! is a self-help voluntary group run by parents to support each other and share information and experiences. It is aimed at children and young people with Autistic Specturm Disorder aged 0-25 years who have social, communication and imagination difficulties. The group arranges outings and events, usually in public places to combat and cope with these difficulties while also building confidence and self-esteem. Virtually all of its activities are family-based, so parents/carers and siblings are included and the feeling of isolation (and desperation) is relieved for all. YASS! does extensive family support work. YASS also sends out regular newsletters informing members of all news and local events concerning autism and others matters of interest. |
