As part of the project, YACs get to enjoy Social Trips and Events. The point of these trips are to encourage the young people to take a break from their caring role and enjoy being young adults. We do this in two different ways: Hang Outs and Trips.
Specific trips to London Attractions or Events are organised 3 time a year during the course of the project. The Hang Outs on the other hand are “club-like” sessions that occur every couple months. The Hang Out gives YACs a chance to come, relax, unwind and have fun with their peers! There will be video games, drinks, party food and music in the background.

Charity Fundraising event
A few of the carers were invited along to a charity fundraising event hosted by Jamie Oliver along with guest appearances from Camila the Dutchess of Cornwall and other celebrities such as Dynamo the magician, Calum Scott the singer and other famous chefs such as Mark Hix.
The event was to raise money to combat obesity, food waste and undernutrition in the UK, and at the same time say a big thank you to the hundreds of everyday heroes such as those that care for others.
We were treated to an exquisite three course meal that was prepared right in front of our very eyes by CEO’s from John Lewis, Google, and Hotpoint just to name a few and supervised by the celebrity chefs.
