Caring for someone who experiences mental ill health or emotional distress can be both physically and emotionally demanding. Diagnoses such as “psychotic episode”,  or schizophrenia, depression or bipolar disorder can be daunting; what do they mean, who can I speak to , who really will understand my position and feelings? Caring4carers aims to reach those relatives, partners and close friends who are taking on the responsibility for caring. You may live together or separately, but your lives are entwined  and we aim to give you not only the skills to care better for your loved one but importantly the skills and knowledge how to look after yourself too. Additionally on many of our courses we have a trainee health  professional, who too wants to learn and understand the needs of carers. THE NEXT SUPPORTIVE FAMILY TRAINING COURSE STARTS ON 4TH OCTOBER 2011.The course is composed of 11 classes  They take place at Avenue House, East End Road, Finchley N3 3QE .  The classes commence at 7.30 pm until 9.30 pm.
