In our previous work with YACs, we’ve realise that a large proportion of them either care for someone with a mental ill health or themselves suffer with a mental ill health, sometimes as a result of their caring role. We wanted to create a safe platform for these young people to come and talk about their experiences and possibly help someone else going through similar situations. Although this is primarly a Peer Support Group, some sessions may include speakers or workshops to help YACs in their caring role for a person with mental  ill health. The four special sessions are:
