Nearly all doctors are now asking new patients as they register with the surgery whether they have caring responsibilities. This is a good way to identify Carers, but one simple improvement will make it much more effective.

We would like surgeries to ask all patients who are Carers whether they agree to being contacted by Barnet Carers Centre. By adding one simple question to the registration form, any Carer who wishes can be linked up with our services – free, with no obligation involved – and be able to benefit not only from their GP’s support but from all Carer-related services available to them.
